Realistic Expectations
The FAA minimums
for the completion of a Private Pilot Course are 40 hours of flight
time. Consequently, this is what most flight schools base their cost
estimates on; yet it is unrealistic for most people. The following
estimate for the Private Pilot Course is based on 50 hours of flight
time. This tends to be the average time for completion for the majority of
people.
